Ramix TV IPTV for MAG Box: Complete Setup Guide 2026
MAG boxes are among the most popular dedicated IPTV devices available and Ramix TV is fully compatible with all MAG box models. This complete guide covers everything you need to set up Ramix TV IPTV on your MAG box, from initial configuration to advanced settings optimisation.
What is a MAG Box?
A MAG box is a dedicated IPTV set-top box manufactured by Infomir. Unlike Firestick or Android boxes that run general-purpose operating systems, MAG boxes run a lightweight Linux-based operating system specifically optimised for IPTV streaming. This makes them exceptionally stable and efficient for live TV and on-demand content.

What You Need Before Starting
- Your MAG box connected to your TV via HDMI
- Your MAG box connected to internet via Ethernet (recommended) or Wi-Fi
- Your Ramix TV portal URL — contact our support team via WhatsApp to receive this
- Your MAG box MAC address — this is printed on a sticker on the bottom of your device
How MAG Box IPTV Works
MAG boxes use a portal URL system rather than the Xtream Codes API used by apps like TiviMate. When you enter a portal URL into your MAG box it connects directly to the Ramix TV servers and loads your personalised channel list automatically. Your MAC address is used to authenticate your device with our servers.
Step-by-Step Ramix TV Setup on MAG Box
Step 1: Get Your Ramix TV Portal URL and MAC Address
Before configuring your MAG box you need two pieces of information:
Portal URL: Contact the Ramix TV support team via WhatsApp with your subscription details. We will provide your personalised portal URL immediately.
MAC Address: Turn on your MAG box. Before the portal loads you will see a screen showing your device information including the MAC address. It looks like this: 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX. Note this down or take a photo of the screen.
Step 2: Access MAG Box Settings
- Turn on your MAG box and wait for it to boot
- Press the Setup or Menu button on your MAG remote
- Navigate to System Settings using the arrow keys
- Select Servers
- Select Portals
Step 3: Enter Your Ramix TV Portal URL
- In the Portal 1 Name field enter: Ramix TV
- In the Portal 1 URL field enter your Ramix TV portal URL exactly as provided by our support team
- Leave Portal 2 fields empty unless you have a second IPTV service
- Press OK to save your settings
Step 4: Restart Your MAG Box
- Exit the settings menu
- Press the Menu button and select Reboot or navigate to System > Reboot
- Wait for your MAG box to restart — this takes approximately 60 seconds
- Your MAG box will automatically connect to the Ramix TV portal and load your channel list
Step 5: Authorise Your MAG Box
When your MAG box connects to Ramix TV for the first time it needs to be authorised using your MAC address. Our support team registers your MAC address to your account when you provide it. If you have already provided your MAC address your channels will load automatically after reboot.
If you see an authorisation error contact our support team via WhatsApp with your MAC address and we will activate it immediately.
Navigating Ramix TV on MAG Box
Once your MAG box is connected to Ramix TV you will see the main portal interface. Here is how to navigate it:
Live TV — browse all 33,000+ live channels organised by category and country
VOD — access the 130,000+ movie and TV series library
Series — browse TV series organised by genre and alphabet
Catch-up — watch content from the past 7 days that you may have missed
Use the arrow keys on your remote to navigate and OK to select. Press Back to return to the previous screen.
Setting Up Favourites on MAG Box
Creating a favourites list makes it much faster to access your most-watched channels:
- Navigate to Live TV and find a channel you want to add to favourites
- Highlight the channel name
- Press the blue button on your MAG remote
- Select Add to Favourites
- Repeat for all channels you watch regularly
- Access your favourites from the main menu under Favourites

- Go to Settings > Parental Control
- Enable parental control and set a PIN code
- Select which categories or channels to restrict
- Save your settings
Optimising Ramix TV Performance on MAG Box
Use a Wired Ethernet Connection
MAG boxes have a built-in Ethernet port. Always use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi for the most stable Ramix TV streaming experience, especially for 4K content.
Adjust Buffer Settings
- Go to Settings > System Settings > Advanced
- Find the buffer or cache settings
- Set buffer size to 10 seconds for a good balance of stability and responsiveness
Keep Firmware Updated
Infomir regularly releases firmware updates for MAG boxes that improve performance and compatibility. Check for updates in Settings > System Settings > System Info > Software Update.
Restart Weekly
Restart your MAG box once a week to clear cached data and maintain optimal performance. Simply unplug the power cable for 30 seconds and plug it back in.
Troubleshooting Ramix TV on MAG Box
Portal not loading after entering URL: Double check the portal URL for any typos. URLs are case-sensitive on MAG boxes. Copy it exactly as provided by our support team.
Authorisation error: Your MAC address may not yet be registered to your account. Contact our support team via WhatsApp with your MAC address and subscription email.
Channels loading slowly: Switch from Wi-Fi to a wired Ethernet connection. Also restart your router to clear any congestion.
Video stuttering or buffering: Increase the buffer size in advanced settings. Also ensure your internet speed meets the minimum requirements — 25 Mbps for 4K streaming.
Portal shows but no channels: This usually means the portal URL is correct but your MAC address is not yet authorised. Contact support with your MAC address.
Remote control not responding: Replace the batteries in your MAG remote. If the issue persists try pairing the remote again through Settings > Remote Control.
MAG Box vs Firestick for Ramix TV: Which is Better?
| Feature | MAG Box | Firestick |
|---|---|---|

| 4K support | Newer models only | Firestick 4K and above |
| Price | $60 to $150 | $30 to $80 |
| Best for | Dedicated IPTV users | General streaming and IPTV |
MAG boxes are the preferred choice for users who want a dedicated, stable IPTV device with minimal setup. Firestick offers more flexibility and is better for users who also want access to other streaming apps alongside Ramix TV.
